The food company General Mills recently announced that Lucky Charms cereal would be “celebrating [Gay] Pride month with whimsical delight, magical charms, and two new rainbow marshmallows," according to a press release.

The campaign also includes the Twitter hashtag #LuckyToBe and a pro-gay website, notesThe Huffington Post.

There is also a video (below) that states: "Being different is not an issue, or a problem. It's Lucky."

However, not everyone is pleased. wrote: "Your children’s breakfast cereal is now gay. Just so you know. Your children’s breakfast cereal is now gay. I don’t think that’s a sentence anybody not a comedy writer ever imagined penning. What’s next? Snap, Crackle, and Poppers?"

The very conservative added: "General Mills’ pandering to the ever-more-popular gay crowd makes economic sense... After all, they don’t want to suffer the fate of Chick-Fil-A and get splattered with liberal media vitriol for supporting traditional marriage."

This not the first time that General Mills has supported gays.

Back in June 2012, Ken Charles, General Mills' vice president of diversity and inclusion, told The Advocate that the company opposed Minnesota's proposed ban on gay marriages.
