A Louisiana man returned home after working three days offshore to find the wife he’s separated from, a man apparently hiding in his house and the makings of a meth lab.
Mail Online reports that Grant Williams was surprised to be greeted by his estranged wife Kelly Williams at the home in Marrero, La. He became very suspicious when she was uncommonly affectionate towards him, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office arrest and incident report.
The 33-year-old Grant Williams told police that he sensed his 32-year-old wife was trying to keep him away from the bedroom and he soon discovered why when he found a strange man, Stephen Hamilton, standing in the shower. Grant Williams also found drug paraphernalia and several plastic bags containing an off-white powder in his bed. Investigators have determined that it was methamphetamine.
Grant Williams contacted the Sheriff's Office and the 43-year-old Hamilton took off. Deputies caught up with him and brought him back to the scene, according to The Times-Picayune.
The incident report also noted that Grant Williams told deputies that he suspected the bags had drugs because his wife had been arrested earlier this year in connection with a meth lab inside another home.
Kelly Williams and Hamilton were booked with creation of a clandestine lab, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was being held on a $205,500 bond. Hamilton’s bond information was not known.
