KKK Supporter Makes Monkey Taunts At Black Crowd (Video)

Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members came from across the country to hold a rally last Saturday outside the Statehouse in Columbia, South Carolina, where they waved Confederate and Nazi flags (video below).

One of their supporters imitated a monkey in the direction of some black counter-protesters, reports.

The Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan organized the rally, which came to an end when KKK members had to be escorted off the grounds by law enforcement, The Greenville News noted.

Republican Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina had asked residents to stay away from the KKK rally, but thousands showed up to jeer.

Haley claimed last year that the issue of Confederate flag had been solved with her election as governor. Haley had refused to remove the flag until the mass shooting at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston on June 17.

James Spears, the "Great Titan" of the Loyal White Knights, previously said that his group (and other KKK groups) would rally over “the Confederate flag being taken down for all the wrong reasons,” and added, “it’s part of white people’s culture,” noted KRMG.

“It should be a peaceful rally,” Spears added. “We usually have pretty peaceful rallies. I mean, to me, it should be a peaceful rally. Like I said, it’s for the Confederate flag."

There were some physical confrontations and arrests.
