A 19-year-old Oregon State University student was arrested on charges of public indecency after filming a pornographic video in the university’s library. Kendra Sunderland was cited and released.
Sunderland posted the video to pornographic website PornHub. It showed her undressing and masturbating in front of the webcam. The video lasted 31 minutes and was taken in the usually crowded Valley Library in Corvallis, Oregon.
The video gained more than 260,000 views in a few days, at which point PornHub removed it from the website.
While some students were upset at the reputation that Sunderland has given Oregon State, many students were surprised that she was able to pull it off without being caught.
Oregon State student Shelby Wilson said: “I feel like it’s always packed. I don’t know how anyone could get away with it.”
Sunderland is not the first college student to start making porn. Belle Knox famously joined the business to pay her tuition at Duke University, and Mia Khalifa claims that she has had death threats made against her from people in her native Lebanon.
Oregon State University spokesperson Steven Clark claimed that security monitor the halls of the library but that it is just too big to monitor effectively. He said: “Imagine six floors; 340,000 square feet. It’s used by 30,000 people on average every week.”
He continued, “To my knowledge, there have not been any other instances of an adult video being filmed or created on campus.”
According to the University, Sunderland is no longer enrolled at the university. However, her departure was not related to the pornographic video, which was taken last fall.
