Tiffany Trump, daughter of President Donald Trump, is registered to vote in both New York and Pennsylvania. Evidence of the double registration has surfaced after the president has spent several days insisting that millions of illegal votes were cast in the 2016 election.
"In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally," Trump tweeted in November, after winning the presidency.
But the revelation that Tiffany is double-registered has been attacked by Donald's senior adviser, Kellyanne Conway.
"I talked last night to Tiffany Trump, and she said it is flatly false that she is registered in two states," Conway told NBC's "Today" on a January 26 broadcast. "She had been registered in Pennsylvania and went through the process, said it was very [Byzantine], and took a long time, but she said she is not registered in two states."
Also on Jan. 26, Peter Alexander, a Philadelphia County election official, tweeted: "Double-checked on this: Tiffany Trump is, in fact, registered to vote in PA & NY, per elex officials & state elections websites".
"I will be asking for a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD, including those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and.... even, those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time)," the president tweeted on Jan. 25. "Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!"
In addition to evidence that Tiffany is registered twice to vote, Donald's chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, has also been revealed to have double registered, notes NBC News.
Bannon was registered to vote in both New York City and Sarasota County, Florida, until Jan. 25, when a request from the New York City Board of Elections had Bannon's name removed from the Sarasota County voting roll.
Yet, despite this, "There is no evidence of massive voter fraud — none," Michael Waldman of the non-partisan The Brennan Center for Justice said in a statement. "The notion that millions of people voted illegally two months ago, and nobody noticed, is preposterous on its face."
