Singer Justin Bieber seems to have a penchant for being man-handled by security guards.
The Canadian pop star was recently escorted out of a Mexican archaeological site for “pulling his underpants down and trying to climb one of its off-limits ruins.”
The “Love Yourself” singer was asked to leave the ancient Mayan fortress of Tulum on Jan. 7 at around 4 p.m. after a dispute over his lewd conduct.
Authorities were called in after he reportedly took off his clothes for a selfie and then shouted obscenities at the security guards who tried to stop him.
He was captured on a smartphone arriving at the site with what looks to be his new girlfriend, Hailey Baldwin, who he was seen on vacation with in early January.
Workers claimed he was visibly drunk and was originally refused entry because he was holding beer cans, reports Daily Mail.
Bieber then got rid of his beer and went into the site anyway, with four companions, after which he “pulled his underpants down.”
He is then said to have threatened and insulted National Institute of Anthropology and History, known as INAH, triggering law enforcement to be called to the scene.
Adriana Velazquez, director of INAH, which administers Mexico's heritage sites, told local news that his bodyguards got into a quarrel with site security guards after he tried to climb the ruin.
Local media have characterized his behavior “inappropriate” and said that he “ignored the signs and decided to climb onto platforms and restricted areas.”
Bieber is said to have left the site at around 5 p.m. after a 15-minute dispute and some “pushing and shoving” between his bodyguards and INAH staff.
Daily Mail says he was ushered out by several security guards after climbing onto a ruin and “having a photo taken in which he showed off his backside.”
This is not the first time Bieber, who was seen a few days earlier visiting nearby Jungla Maya, a park in the Quintana Roo area of Mexico with Baldwin, has been in trouble with authorities.
In April 2014, Bieber was kicked out of California's Coachella music festival after he tried to make his way into a packed Drake concert. US Magazine reports that the singer got into a tussle with the security guards, flashing his wristband, and was escorted out while being placed in a chokehold.
In November 2013, his bodyguards were pictured attacking a photographer outside a Buenos Aires nightclub.
