A 54-year-old man from Meaux, France, has been charged for allegedly pimping out his 46-year-old wife to 2,742 men since 2011. Prostitution is legal in France, but soliciting for clients is not.

The man, who has not been identified, would reportedly sit in his car outside with the couple’s 5-year-old son while his wife was inside the john’s home, Telegraph reported. His wife was reportedly pimped up to three times a day.

Since the man allegedly began prostituting his wife, he has made almost $176,000, Independent reported.

“The husband exercised a psychological power over his wife, preventing her from stopping submitting herself to the sexual needs of customers who were sometimes very tough,” prosecutor Emmanuel Dupic explained in court.

The woman has not been charged and her husband will remain in custody until his court date in December.
