The cast of "Jersey Shore" is reportedly close to signing a new contract for a huge pay increase for their third season.
Several "Jersey Shore” cast members had gone on strike and refused to film until contract negotiations were final.
Snooki, the Situation and the other castmates wanted $30,000 per episode of the reality show, but MTV countered “with a number that’s close to that figure,” according to reports.
The reality stars are expected to renew their contracts in the next few days. The Jersey Shore cast made around $5,000 per episode in season one and $10,000 in their second season.
So who will be pocketing the most money in the deal? “Snooki and Situation would make the most,” sources stated.
“Then second tier would be Vinny, Pauly D and Jwoww. The third tier would be Ronnie and Sammie.”
Season 2 of “Jersey Shore” will premiere on July 29.
