Hong Kong tycoon Cecil Chao is upset that his daughter is lesbian, so he has decided to offer $65 million to any man who can win her over.
According to France 24, Chao's daughter Gigi married her same-sex partner who she has been with for 7 years. The two married in France this year.
Chao, however, is in denial that the marriage actually occurred. He says they are "false reports" and that Gigi is still single.
As for the man Chao wants Gigi to marry, he said he did not mind whether he was "rich or poor," as the "important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted."
"Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to her parents, is generous and does volunteer work," 76-year-old Chao said.
Gigi's father earned his fortune from his ownership of property developer Cheuk Nang.
In Hong Kong, same-sex marriages are not recognized. The city is socially conservative and homosexuality was decriminalized in 1991.
Chao is a prominent social figure in Hong Kong, appearing frequently at public events alongside his young girlfriend.
He has also claimed to have had sex with 10,000 women.
