A suspected burglar, Robert Cole, allegedly broke into a Tulsa, Oklahoma home, but got the surprise of his life when the homeowner hog-tied and left him in the yard for police to pick up on Wednesday morning.
Denay Houston told KOTV-TV that she and her husband heard breaking glass and saw a folding chair inside their daughter’s bedroom around 6 a.m. (video below).
The husband walked outside and waited for Cole to leave the home, bum-rushed him and then tied his hands and feet behind his back.
“He’s like a superhero," said Houston, who added that her husband didn't wait around for police because he had to be at work.
"That's just the type of person he is, you know? That's just the type of person he is. Business is business. 'I got to take care of business, he's safe, the police are coming, I got to go.'"
Cole faces a charge of first-degree burglary and may have been under the influence of drugs.
He is being held in jail on a $32,079 bond.
