Heather Locklear Cleared in Hit-and-Run of a "No Parking" Sign

Oh yeah, she’s smiling now, but she wasn’t a few weeks ago after that oddball ‘hit-and-run’ incident. Yes you, Heather Locklear.

Sister’s off the hook and won’t face criminal charges after she was accused of knocking over a “no parking” sign last month in Thousand Oaks, California at 4am.

She was arrested on April 17 and cited with misdemeanor hit-and-run after cops matched debris from a street near home to her BMW. But still, cops couldn’t prove she was behind the wheel.

A rep from the office of the Ventura County District Attorney tells ET:

“Physical evidence established that the vehicle involved in the collision was a 2005 black BMW sedan registered to Richard and Heather Sambora of Westlake Village.

“Insufficient evidence exists to establish who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of the collision. As a result, no criminal charges will be filed.”

Locklear’s currently on probation from a drunken-driving arrest in 2008.

Still begs the question what exactly was he/she doing driving around at 4am…
