David Mazzocco was recently arrested in North Fayette Township, Pennsylvania, after he allegedly killed one man and injured two more while shooting up a bar (video below).
According to KDKA-TV, Mazzocco had at least three guns, including a military-style M4 assault rifle.
Allegheny County police said that Mazzocco may have been talking on the phone to his girlfriend before briefly leaving the Fort Pitt Inn bar. He reportedly returned with three weapons and opened fire at about 12:45 a.m. on Monday.
"He was having relationship problems and may have been in the midst of an argument with someone via his cell phone and text messaging. Left the bar, went out to his car, returned to the bar with what we know now is three hand guns," said Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman. "He gets into the bar and tells two of the patrons to leave. He then starts shooting the other patrons of the bar."
James Adams, shot in the neck and head, died from his injuries. A second unidentified man was shot but is alive at a local hospital in critical condition.
A third unidentified man tackled Mazzocco after being shot in the arm. Bar customers restrained Mazzocco until police arrived on the scene.
Mazzocco appeared to be wearing only underwear and had a bloody bandage on his head.
After being treated for his injuries, Mazzocco was taken into custody and charged with homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and weapons violations.
