We’re all glad Clint McCance, the school district member in Arkansas who came under fire for an anti-gay post, resigned from office this week.
He’s a guy who has no business on a school board after using the terms “queer” and “fag” repeatedly, promising to disown his own children if they are gay, and stating that he enjoys “the fact that [gay people] give each other AIDS and die.”
He acknowledged that his comments were ‘ignorant” in an interview with Anderson Cooper last week but you do have to wonder why someone is so anti-gay. Are they suppressing something?
Well, actor George Takei seems to think so and in a new video he has made for The Trevor Project, he talks about the controversy predicts that McCance will resurface in the headlines again one day “This time caught with a rent boy from some South American country.”
He wants McCance to know that of that happens and he ends up being bullied, “It does get better.”
