George Michael's longtime boyfriend has revealed that he slept in his car the night before his partner died in his bed alone.
According to the Daily Mail, George Michael's boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, 43, found the singer dead in his bed on Christmas Day. Fawaz says that he didn't see Michael on the night he died as he had slept in his car.
"I never saw him," Fawaz said of Michael on the night he died. "I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night."
He added: "The police know everything -- that's the most important thing."
Fawaz previously said that he had spent the entire weekend at Michael's house. He said that on the day he found Michael dead in his bed, he had arrived to wake him up for a planned Christmas Day lunch together.
Following Michael's death, posts on Fawaz's Twitter account said that Michael had been suicidal and had "tried numbers of time to kill himself many times," adding that "finally he managed."
Fawaz quickly denied sending the series of tweets, however, and said that he had been hacked.
"I am shocked with what's going on with the Twitter thing," Fawaz told Mirror. "My Twitter account has been hacked and closed. It's a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11:30 a.m. to the news. I am not going to worry about these things."
According to the Telegraph, a post-mortem examination showed that the cause of Michael's death was "inconclusive."
When asked about speculation that Michael was struggling with heroin addiction, Fawaz replied, "No way," adding: "I have read a lot of shocking things."
