John Mateer, 19, was visiting Penn State University fraternity house on Oct. 3, where he was allegedly beaten in a homophobic attack.
“Don’t let a frat guy know that you’re gay,” Mateer wrote on his Twitter account alongside photos of his bloodied and swollen face.
“Got the living s*** kicked out of me,” Mateer tweeted to a friend. “The brother admitted that he hated gays. Proceeded to kick the s*** out of me.”
Mateer, who lives in Long Island, New York, has filed a police report. It’s unclear if the attack happened inside of a fraternity venue or if the alleged attacker was a member of a Greek organization, Fox 29 reported.
According to a release form the State College Police Department, authorities are looking into the incident and seeking tips.
