For the second straight day, a Qantas passenger flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore after having engine problems.
The Boeing 747 with 431 people on board landed safely in Singapore on Friday after reporting a problem with one of its four engines shortly after takeoff.
On Thursday, a Qantas Airbus A380 superjumbo jet made an emergency landing at the same airport after an engine blew out in midair.
Friday's problem wasn't as serious or dramatic as Thursday's. In fact, Qantas said the engine will be inspected, and the same plane will be used when the flight finally takes off later in the day. The two plane are made by different companies, but use the same Rolls Royce engine.
The Singapore to Sydney flight originated in Frankfurt, Germany.
