Florida Police Gives 2-Year-Old Girl ‘Ticket’ For Driving White Toy Convertible (Video)

Police officers in Florida “ticketed” a 2-year-old girl after they saw her driving her white convertible toy car outside an apartment complex.

According to the Daily Mail, Za’Dariyah Mishaw, 2, was in Jacksonville, Fla., when a police cruiser pulled into the car park. After joking around with the girl a bit, Officer Christian Velasco handed Mishaw a ticket.

Officer Velasco and his colleagues were responding to a call in the same area where they saw young Za’Dariyah playing. It was all in good fun.

“She was going pretty fast,” he said. “It took me a while to catch up to her, but we did, and she was cited.”

Keyth Mishaw, who was watching his niece play, captured her being pulled over on camera.

“Everyone always has bad things to say about the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, well I want to say ‘big props’ to these officers for making a memorable moment for my family,” he said. “It was fun moment, brightened up the whole day.”

The little girl’s uncle and her mother, Zumekia Mishaw, appeared in a television interview with Za’Dariyah Tuesday evening.

“I’m still in in shock right now,” Mishaw told First Coast News. “But she’s gotta pay her ticket.”

When asked how much the ticket was going to cost, Za'Dariyah replied: “Four dollars.”
