Florida Man Tries To Rob 7-Eleven With Tomahawk, Claims It Was A Joke

Police arrested a 23-year-old man in Naples, Fla., Wednesday after he allegedly tried to rob a 7-Eleven with a tomahawk.

Kristopher Robyn Sebrasky purchased a bottle of water and an energy drink at the convenience store Wednesday afternoon. He struck up a conversation with the clerk, who he recognized from St. Matthew's House, a homeless shelter where they once lived.

Sebrasky waited for all the other customers to empty out of the store, before he allegedly pulled a six-inch tomahawk out of his backpack.

"As I put this on the counter, you're going to put money into my backpack," Sebrasky told the clerk, according to the police report.

"I was flipping out," the clerk said.

He said there was a four-inch knife attached to the tomahawk.

A customer suddenly entered the store, frightening Sebrasky who tried to make his gesture appear friendly by handing the tomahawk over to the clerk.

Then he took the tomahawk back and left the store with no money.

Police later found Sebrasky outside his home.

He claimed the robbery was just a joke and he had no intention to take money from the store.

He faces charges of armed robbery.
