Florida resident Jeremy Bryant was arrested on a slew of charges this week, but not before he went on a rampage that’s almost too bizarre to be true.
According to Orange County police, the incident started around 10 pm on Sunday night. It was then that Bryant’s ex-girlfriend went running into a neighbor’s house as Bryant chased her.
Bryant first kicked over the mailbox at the house. He then grabbed a propane tank and smashed it through one of the house’s windows. After that, he kicked in the door at the residence and went looking for his ex-girlfriend.
Inside the house, Bryant grabbed a sword and started attacking the homeowner with it. Bryant then found his ex-girlfriend, and said he wanted to choke her with chime cables. He choked her as he bit her nose and licked her face, and then pressed a hack saw against her throat.
Next (yes, there’s more), he dragged the woman out to his truck and drove off while holding a knife to her throat. Deputies arrived at the neighbor’s home as Bryant sped off, and a chase was on. After several miles, Bryant jumped out of his moving truck and took off running.
K9 units were unleashed and found him hiding nearby.
Bryant was arrested, and is now being charged with attempted second-degree murder, burglary to an occupied dwelling, fleeing and eluding, aggravated battery, and kidnapping. Thankfully, the ex-girlfriend and the neighbor suffered only non-life threatening injuries.
