After an exhaustive evening of knocking over trashcans and frightening residents this past Thursday, a Dayton Beach black bear took a much-needed nap in a backyard hammock.
Photographer Rafael Torres took a photo of the bear reclining in the hammock around 7:45 p.m. Torres said the bear hung out in the hammock for about 20 minutes before heading back into the woods.
He was 60 feet from the bear snapping pictures and the animal didn’t seem bothered by his presence.
Torres claims he's never seen a live bear roaming the streets before, but it’s not the first time the bear was spotted in the area. It is presumably the same bear that was causing a raucous Wednesday night in the same neighborhood.
