In Aurora, Colorado, first grader D’Avonte Meadows has been suspended from school after quoting the line “I’m sexy and I know it” from an LMFAO song.
Meadows was suspended for three days for "sexual harassment" for saying the line in a school cafeteria to a female student.
His mother, Stepahine Meadows, told 7NEWS: “I could understand if he was fondling her, looking up her skirt, trying to look in her shirt. That, to me, is sexual harassment. I’m just, I’m floored. They’re going to look at him like he’s a pervert. And it’s like, that’s not fair to him.”
Paula Hans, media relations specialist for the school, claimed that laws forbid any comment about the situation: "Due to privacy laws, we are unable to discuss appropriate disciplinary consequences about a specific student."
Meadows reportedly said the same line, “I’m sexy and I know it,” to the same girl last month, but also "shook his booty" in her face. His mother added: “I’m going to definitely have to sit with him and see if he understands exactly what the song means.”
This is probably the only version of this song a 1st grader should know:
