Firefighters rescued four puppies from a burning California home on March 14.
San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the house fire in Victorville just before 1 a.m. to find the resident safe but worried for her dogs. "My babies are inside," the resident told officials. The "babies" were five dogs, trapped in the burning house.
The firefighters entered the house, searching for the puppies while simultaneously fighting the flames. After about 15 minutes, they emerged from the house with four out of the five puppies safely rescued. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Saturday's fire came just hours after firefighters and emergency responders performed an emergency delivery in the back of a parked SUV. "It's been an exciting week around here," department spokesman Jeff Allen said.
