Police in Franklin, Indiana, arrested a 20-year-old man Saturday over the death of his 6-month-old daughter.
Christopher Potts is accused of throwing 6-month-old Felicity Anderson against a wall on Thursday, causing the girl to suffer a fractured skull.
Felicity was found in a Franklin apartment at around 12 p.m. Thursday, according to Johnson County coroner Craig Lutz. She was pronounced dead at Johnson Memorial Hospital, after efforts had been made to revive her.
An autopsy conducted Friday confirmed Felicity died as a consequence of a fractured skull, Fox 59 reported.
Potts has been provisionally charged with battery resulting in death.
Felicity’s grandmother, Danielle Anderson, said detectives told her that Potts attempted to administer CPR and give the baby a bottle after he threw her against the wall.
“He couldn’t handle her crying during nap time. That’s why he hurt her,” she added to WTHI.
Annabelle Anderson, Felicity’s 18-year-old mother, refused to comment on the incident when asked, WTHI reported.
Potts is currently being held in the Johnson County jail with bond set at $30,000. A date for his appearance in court was not available.
