Fast 8 Crew Sides With Rock In Feud With Vin Diesel

The set of "Fast and Furious 8" has reportedly been rife with conflict due to differences between co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Last week, Johnson posted a lengthy rant on social media which targeted several of Johnson's "male co-stars," according to The Guardian.

He wrote:

Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.

When you watch this movie next April, and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.

After days of media speculation over who the "candy ass" was on set whom Johnson was referring to, reports emerged it was none other than Diesel himself.

According to People, Johnson has reportedly been dissatisfied with Diesel's work ethic for some time. Diesel is said to have pushed back the set's start times because they were too early, and he was once said to have stayed in his trailer for an entire day.

After Johnson's post, Diesel reportedly stormed off the set of the film after filming his final scenes and, according to TMZ, gave a speech where he declared that "Daddy's gone."

According to TMZ, the crew of "Fast 8" has said that Johnson is an "ultimate professional" who "always nails his scenes" and is "easy to work with."

However, both actors appear to want to move forward after the incident.

Johnson later brought up the issue on Aug. 10 in another Instagram post:

You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team – that's a family – there's gonna be conflict.

Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its (sic) followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it.

At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world.
