Terry Garner, of Riverton, Oregon, was trying to feed his 700-pound hogs when he was eaten by the animals in the early morning hours on Monday.
When Garner was missing for several hours, a family member went to look for him and found Garner's dentures in front of the hog enclosure.
The family member then searched the hog enclosure and found Garner's body in several pieces, but most of it was eaten by hogs, reports kptv.com.
District Attorney Paul Frasier said Garner may have suffered a heart attack or the hogs were somehow able to knock him down and kill him. Police haven't ruled out foul play.
Garner's cause of death is listed as undetermined and his remains will be examined by a forensic anthropologist.
