Fans noticed that Nicole Kidman was looking a little different during an awards show in Germany -- sporting a much fuller and puffier face than she did just days before at the Oscars.
Kidman was pictured at the Goldene Kamera Awards in Hamberg, Germany, with a noticeably rounder face and a much less pronounced jaw line than she had at the Oscars just days earlier. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Jeremy Hunt told the Daily Mail that he believes the transformation was due to "injectable fillers."
"There is more volume over the cheeks -- a plumped up look which could be due to weight gain but over such a short period is suggestive of the use of injectable fillers," he said.
"The fillers are will add volume and highlight areas such as lips and cheekbones, a little can be effective but too much can result in the look known as 'pillow face.'"
Kidman previously admitted to using Botox, telling a magazine in 2011 that she ultimately wasn't a fan.
"I've tried a lot of things, but aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don’t make a difference," she said. "I even tried Botox but I didn't like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don't use it any more and I can move my forehead again."
Meanwhile, Kidman recently revealed during an interview just why she was spotted clapping so strangely during the Oscars -- a moment that became a meme and instantly went viral.
"I told everyone you were clapping like that because you had the rings on and you didn't want to damage the rings," Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands told Kidman during an interview, The Independent reported.
"You are so right Kyle," she replied.
"It was really difficult because I had a huge ring on which was not my own, but was absolutely gorgeous and I was terrified of damaging it. It's so true, I'm so glad you clarified that. It was really awkward and I was like gosh, I want to clap. I don't want to not be clapping, which is worse, right -- 'why isn't Nicole clapping?'"
Kidman's noticeably different appearance was met with mixed reaction from readers, many of whom felt like people shouldn't focus so much on her appearance and what she does to her own body.
"She must just not care at this point what any of us think and does this to make herself feel attractive. Good for her. Screw us; the public. It's her face, let her do whatever she wants to it," one Daily Mail reader commented.
"I would imagine she's got a lot of insecurity about aging with that hottie Keith Urban as a hubby. She's crazy about him. Watch his video "Blue Ain't Your Color" at the CMA. The camera pans on her and her reaction shows how she feels. (Also, imagine the pressure of aging in Hollywood)," another added.
