There is a new fashion trend sweeping across the Japan.
According to The Inquisitr, it is now common to see Japanese schoolgirls wearing panties on their heads instead of beneath their clothes. Photos are popping up all over the place of panty-headed girls doing regular everyday activities such as performing karaoke or doing laundry,
It’s not really known what started this trend but there are some theories floating around the Internet. One theory, shared Kotaku and BuzzFeed, is that an odd and eccentric Japanese superhero “Hentai Kamen” inspired the trend. Kamen is described as a “strange homo-erotic parody of a Power Ranger.” Kamen wears panties on his head to conceal his identity but is otherwise nude. He is known as “the abnormal superhero” and has sayings like “panty bless you.” He has a film coming out soon.
No one is sure if Kamen was around first or if the “kaopan” (face panties), inspired his rise to fame. No matter what came first in this chicken-or-the-egg scenario, it’s safe to say that this strange trend will make underwear manufacturers very happy.
