Ex Cake Drummer Pete McNeal Charged With Child Sex Abuse

Publish date:

Pete McNeal, who is the former drummer for the band Cake, is facing child sex abuse charges.

The musician is accused of oral copulation/sexual penetration of a child under the age of 10 and was released after posting $250,000 bail.

His arraignment has been set for February 10, 2012.

Pete, 45, is known for his work with Cake from 2001-2004 and also worked with Norah Jones on her 2009 album “The Fall”.

Sadly, this isn’t the first arrest for molestation. He was busted in 2009 for a separate case where he attempted to molest another young girl.

McNeal has a young son and daughter of his own and police believe there may be other victims out there that have not come forward.

LAPD spokesman Cleon Joseph stated, “When a person goes to that level… chances are they may have done it again. We don’t know, but we have to put it out there just in case.”
