Elderly Couple Roll Car In Bel Air, Los Angeles, Pose For Photos Next To Wreckage

An elderly couple rolled their car over on its side in a Los Angeles neighborhood, but that didn’t stop them from posing for pictures with the wreckage.

The married couple, whose names have been withheld, were driving their blue Honda sedan along Linda Flora Drive in Bel Air late Friday afternoon, when the vehicle flipped over on its driver’s side door, the Daily Mail reports.

The octogenarian was able to climb out of the passenger side, but his wife of 60 years was trapped in the driver’s seat as neighbors and passersby rushed to help the couple.

The husband, sporting a blue shirt and a pair of khaki pants hiked up to his stomach, was standing by the car holding his wife’s purse while awaiting the arrival of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No one was injured, but instead, the couple posed for photos taken by eyewitness Ryan Steinberg, who happened to be in the area.

The elderly woman in the car asked her husband for her phone so she could take a selfie.

According to NBC Los Angeles, the fire department eventually helped free the trapped driver from the overturned car, leaving both husband and wife in “good spirits.”

It is unclear what caused the couple’s sedan to roll over.
