Teens Chase Alleged Kidnapper On Bikes, Rescue Girl

Two teenage boys are being called heroes, after riding their bikes to chase a man they suspected of kidnapping a young girl, eventually rescuing her.

Jocelyn Rojas, 5, was playing in her family's front yard in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, when she was reportedly lured into a car by a man who offered her ice cream. After her disappearance, Jocelyn's family and neighbors, along with police, began a two-hour search for the young girl, according to CNN.

Temar Boggs, 15, said he and his friend saw a girl matching Jocelyn's description in the window of a car while they were on their bicycles. The driver, Boggs said, made an attempt to escape while the teens followed on their bikes.

"Every time we'd go down the street, he'd turn back around, and then ... we'll follow him," Boggs told WGAL.

The two boys continued to follow the car for 15 minutes, until the driver gave up the chase, stopping and letting Jocelyn out of the car before driving away.

"He stopped at the end of the hill and let her out, and she ran to me and said that she needed her mom," said Boggs.

After Boggs returned Jocelyn to her family, neighbors and relatives hugged the teenager, celebrating Boggs and his friend as heroes.

"He's our hero. There is just no words to say," said Tracey Clay, the young girl's grandmother.

Police are still seeking the suspect, who is reported to be an older white male, from 50 to 70 years old, driving a maroon-colored car, possibly a Chevrolet, with round tail lights. The suspect, who reportedly walked with a limp, wore green shoes and green pants with a red and white striped shirt.

Police are checking with ice cream stores in the area in search of anyone matching the description of the suspect.

Jocelyn's relatives said she is doing "well" after the two-hour abduction. Boggs said he feels proud that he was able to help find the child.

"I just feel like I did something very accomplishing today," said the teenager.
