Disturbing Details Emerging About "Slender Man" And Two 12-Year-Olds Who Allegedly Tried To Murder Friend

Disturbing new details surrounding the brutal stabbing of a Wisconsin girl at the hands of her two 12-year-old friends.

Reports say Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier lured their friend into the woods, held her down, and stabbed her 19 times in an attempt to prove that the “Slender Man” myth was real. The two 12-year-old girls said they first read about the Slender Man on the website Creepypasta Wiki, and after following the meme for some time, they decided to prove their loyalty to him by killing a random person.

So on the night of May 30, Geyser and Weier invited their friend over for a sleepover and wound up dragging her into the woods and stabbing her 19 times. The young girl tried to escape, but the two 12-year-olds dragged her back and tried to make her bleed to death. Eventually, the girl was able to escape, and a passing cyclist saw her and called emergency services.

Slender Man is a well-known Internet meme, and there are many theories out there surrounding him. He originally appeared online after a user Photoshopped him into a picture, and now, people believe he is real. The fictional character is widely believed the prey on children, as evident in most of the memes he’s seen in. The character was made into an Android and iPhone game and was even included as part of the CW television program Supernatural.

Both girls seem to be disturbed, as one has claimed to see Slender Man in her dreams.

“It was weird that I didn't feel remorse,” said one girl to investigators, while the other girl admitted, “The bad part of me wanted her to die, the good part of me wanted her to live.”

The killing was reportedly planned by Geyser and Weier back in December, and now, both young girls are being charged as adults and facing first-degree attempted homicide charges.

“It’s troubling when a person lashes out in anger,” said Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel. “It’s more troubling when they lash out in cold blood. Isn’t that the worst kind of killer, the cold-blooded killer?”

The victim is currently in critical condition, and doctors say she just narrowly escaped death.
