Disneyland Employee Accused Of Posting Craigslist Ad To Sell Tickets For Sex
A Disneyland employee has been arrested after allegedly attempting to exchange tickets to the Anaheim theme park for sex with a minor.
Darreck Michael Enciso, 27, was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon, but the court date was rescheduled to July 31. He is accused of posting a “graphic” and “specific” ad on Craigslist on July 1 seeking women who would trade sex acts for tickets to Disneyland, My Fox LA reported.
A Huntington Beach police officer responded to the ad and set up a meeting last Thursday, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Thinking he was meeting up with a 14-year-old girl, Enciso showed up with condoms and Disneyland tickets in hand and was arrested.
Enciso is now facing felony charges of attempted lewd act on a child, contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime, and meeting with a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct.
If convicted, Enciso faces up to four years and eight months in prison and would be a registered sex offender for life, KTLA reported.
According to a Disney statement, Enciso “was immediately relieved of his duties as a dishwasher” upon his arrest and did not have any access to young guests during his employment.
