A Harris County Deputy in Houston, Texas is accused of raping Lisa Rodriguez in her apartment while her children were in the home.
The deputy, who has not been identified because he has not been charged, has resigned.
According to KHOU 11 News, Rodriguez said the unidentified deputy recently came to her apartment to question her about some harassing phone calls. The two originally spoke outside her apartment where Rodriguez told the deputy that she had an outstanding warrant for assault (video below).
The deputy suggested they speak inside her apartment, where her three daughters were.
Once inside the apartment, the deputy told her they should talk in a bedroom. Rodriguez claims the deputy grabbed her hands and put them on his "private parts." Rodriguez recalled that the deputy told her she would be jailed if she resisted. The deputy then allegedly raped her.
“Rather than face answering questions from investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Division relating to allegations of sexual misconduct made on Tuesday by a citizen, an HCSO employee has resigned,” the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told KHOU 11 News.
The incident is still under investigation.
