A deer recently died after she tried to jump onto a motorcycle in traffic during rush hour in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
The deer ran into traffic at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday and tried to mount the motorcycle. The rider fell off the bike, which kept going for about 300 yards.
According to Cottonwood Heights Police Sgt. Scott Peck, the deer was disemboweled, fell from the motorcycle and later died from her injuries.
The unidentified rider wore protective gear, but did endure road rash, reports the Associated Press,
Officer Peck said there are about 50 deer-related accidents a year in the area, because deer migrate through local mountains.
