Darren Wilson sat down with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos for his first official public interview since a grand jury decided not to indict him for the shooting death of Michael Brown.
During the interview, Wilson is asked point blank: Would this incident have turned out differently if Brown were not black? The Ferguson officer immediately rejected that notion. He reiterated that he has a clear conscience following the shooting and that he would have handled the situation the exact same way if he had the opportunity to do it over again.
Wilson also expressed his condolences for the loss that the Brown family experienced and made it clear that he understands the sorrow they are feeling.
