A British father was arrested after attacking his son's bully at school.

Metro reports that the unnamed parent was arrested following an assault on a 14-year-old boy at the Nobel School in Stevenage, England.  According to a relative of the boy, the father ran out of his car, punched the boy to the ground and shouted, “I’m going to kill you!”

"I don’t know how long it went on for, but it must have seemed like it was going on forever for him,” said the friend.  “He’s no angel, like any 14-year-old he gets in trouble. But there is no reason for a man to beat the sh** out of him.”

According to the friend, the man is the father of a fellow student, whom the 14-year-old was allegedly bullying.

“He’s got a young son the same age and they fell out, now there are all these rumors about him bullying kids, but he doesn’t even go to that school.”

The friend believes that the 14-year-old will recover quickly from the incident, but that the adult who attacked him should face stiff punishment regardless.

“I think the wounds are just superficial, it is a traumatic experience being set upon by a full adult. It is not right.  He went to town on him, I just hope this bloke goes down for it.”

Business Insider reports that according to a recent survey conducted by the National Education Association, bullying in America is a staggering problem.  The report states that bullying affects nearly one in three American schoolchildren in grades six through 10, with 83 percent of girls and 79 percent of boys reporting having experienced bullying.

Bullying also has unwanted societal effects.  According to the report, 40 percent of boys identified as bullies had three or more arrests by age 30, and 75 percent of school shooting incidents have been linked to bullying and harassment.
