It was one of those unbelievable moments. Recently, a woman who appeared to be either extremely intoxicated or extremely sleepy dropped off the edge of a train platform at an underground station in Prague.
The video is something you have to see to believe. A man is seen approaching the woman as she topples onto the tracks, reaching to help before quickly stepping back as a train rolls in, right over her. The hands of all the onlookers, including the man, shoot up to cover their shocked, gaping mouths, clearly anticipating the woman’s near-certain fate.
Who knows how, but while the train is parked at the station, the woman is actually hurled up through the gap between it and the platform. Even weirder: she stands up, brushes off her pants, and walks off as if nothing had happened at all.
Apprently refusing both medical treatment and a breathalyzer test, the woman reportedly told police she was “merely tired.”
According to Prague Transport Company spokesman Petr Vorlicek, many near-deaths have been spared due to the rail’s design. "There is a dip (between the rails),” he says. “When you fall in there, the carriage is quite high above you so it won't hurt you.”
