A waiter claims that two customers wrote an anti-gay slur on a receipt and the restaurant manager refused to confront the patrons.
Blake Butler was working at Kelley's Country Cookin' in Meadows Place, Texas, last Wednesday when another waiter got a note about Butler from the customers.
The note said: "Don't want to listen to a f----- through my whole meal."
Butler claims his manager blew off the incident (video below).
"Instead of having my back and be like, you know, 'That's my employee; I can't have you talking about my employees like that,' she was like, 'Oh, it's okay. I'm sorry,'" Butler told ABC 13.
The owner of the restaurant added that he would have confronted the customers had he been there.
Butler claims he was fired over the incident, but the restaurant maintains that the waiter quit, notes RawStory.com.
"I recently came out to my parents today because I didn't want them to find out on the news. I just finally said it," Butler stated. "Everybody's entitled to their own opinion, but instead of leaving the opinion out for everyone to see, just keep it to yourself."
