A video of an arrest in Dallas, Texas, on May 7 is going viral after being posted on a police Facebook page last Friday.
The arrest took place at the Rosa Parks train station, and was filmed by a witness with a cell phone camera (video below).
In the video, a Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) officer is trying to arrest a man who had been banned from the station, but a crowd of witnesses apparently believed the cop was using a chokehold on the man, noted Fox 4 News.
The crowd yells insults at the officer, and gets angrier when an unidentified citizen tries to the help the officer make the arrest.
Some of the bystanders approach the officer and the citizen, and yell racial insults: "Get your hands off him!" and "Get your white [expletive] off him!" and "White devil!"
The Free Thought Project notes, "Several of the onlookers attempt to pull the citizen away and the scenario was on the verge of exploding. However, as another officer shows up, the incident begins to calm down."
DART spokesman Morgan Lyons told Fox 4 News that DART is investigating the incident as chokeholds violate DART policy.
