Couple Finds Home Trashed And Meth Addict Hiding Under Their Bed (Photos)

A Seattle couple was shocked to come home to their house completely trashed last week, and while both they and the police believed that it could have been some sort of unexplainable Poltergeist, what they eventually discovered scared them even more.

When Brian O’Neill and his wife Bridget returned home late Wednesday night, they were horrified to see that their entire house was in shambles. The couple says they found their mail ripped open, a can of paint poured into their toilet, and lotion smeared on all the doorknobs. Additionally, Brian and Bridget found their electronics all stacked up on one bed, but after the police were called and a thorough search was done, they determined that nothing was stolen, leaving them to believe that it may have been some sort of supernatural experience or a botched home invasion. The only odd thing that police discovered was a purse belonging to a 27-year-old woman.

“It was like one of those really creepy movies,” said Brian to Vocativ. “We didn’t feel threatened, but we were somewhat disturbed. It was a really weird experience.”

The couple decided to start cleaning up the mess after the police left, but suddenly, Bridget and Brian made a discovery that shocked them even more. Bridget first found a pair of women’s shoes that didn’t belong to her, and as Brian went to remove a bracelet from off of the floor, he noticed something stirring and making a strange noise underneath the bed.

“It was a noise coming from something alive,” said Brian. “It sounded like a dying possum or raccoon. I had only heard wounded animals make that kind of noise before. I was like, ‘I don’t think it’s the cat.’”

The couple says the noise got louder and more intense, so instead of looking underneath the bed to see what it was, they ran outside and called the police. A few minutes after police arrived and went into the home, they walked back out of the house with a strung-out woman who told them she was on a meth rampage.

“When I saw that it was a woman, my reality suddenly kind of shifted,” said Brian. “My wife pretty much collapsed on the stairwell.”

After police took the woman in, the couple returned to their home and found a hypodermic needle, locks of the woman’s hair, and a large kitchen knife.

“Rather than use the knife to pop out and murder us, she was using the knife to deconstruct the box springs of the bed,” said Bridget. “Honestly, I feel kind of bad for her. This woman was so tiny and not together, it’s hard to be mad. If you describe yourself as being on a meth rampage, you’re probably in bad shape. I feel like regular old meth is bad enough.”

The woman is now reportedly in police custody and could face burglary charges, and the couple says that they are still freaked out by the ordeal.
