Couple Arrested for Living in Animal Feces-Covered Trailer with Children, Grandmother

If it wasn’t bad enough that a Pennsylvania couple was reportedly living in an animal feces-covered trailer, consider this: their two children and elderly grandmother were living with them, under the same deplorable conditions.

Middlesex Township Police officers responded to a call at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday about a child playing in traffic at a Pennsylvania trailer park.

When the child told the officers that his sick grandmother was inside, the officers decided to check in on the grandmother.

Upon entering the trailer, they were greeted with a revolting sight: the trailer was “consumed with animal feces and filth.”

Monica L. Bohn, 31, and Michael Z. Karns, 28, were arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person.

The trailer was condemned; Cumberland County Children and Youth Services took custody of the two children, whose names and ages were not released.

The grandmother was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
