Cops: Man Beaten By 4 Men For Offering To Buy Meal (Video)

A 37-year-old man was beaten by a group of men at a Brooklyn restaurant on March 1 (video below).

According to the NYPD, the victim offered to buy a meal, and the men responded with a brutal assault, notes the New York Daily News.

While the victim lay bleeding on the floor of Texas Chicken & Burgers, two customers placed their orders, said police.

A female customer reportedly asked the cashier: "Can I get No. 12?"

Police released the restaurant's surveillance video on March 14 in hopes that the public will call in with tips.

In the footage (no audio), two men entered the restaurant, and one of them reportedly announced that no one was willing to give him a dollar.

When the victim -- sitting in a nearby booth -- offered to buy a meal, the man reportedly told him, "I’ve got money, I’ve got money," and, "Mind your f****ing business!"

The two men punched the victim, according to police sources, and the victim tried to use his cane for self-defense.

Two more men entered the restaurant, and joined the other two men in the attack that included kicking and punching. The men then dragged the victim toward the restaurant entrance.

Before the cops came to the scene, another man searched the victim's pockets in an apparent theft.

While the victim lay on the floor, customers entered and stepped over him.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, which included cuts, bruises and broken bones.

Restaurant employees refused to comment.

Another beating reportedly took place on March 12 in Tucson, Arizona.

Part of the incident was captured on video and uploaded to LiveLeak on March 15 by a user who titled it, "Tucson cops pull a Rodney King," and included a description:

In beginning of video, a women cop accidentally tases herself and six cops end up beating a black man that was already down. I had to take out sound because of certain remarks that are made around me. I hope this can help someone in some way. Happened after 2am on 4th Ave, Tucson.

In the video, the suspect appears to be wearing a red jacket and lying on the ground. There are two other people -- one in a white jacket -- who are assumed to be police officers. One of the officers falls down, possibly from the aforementioned Taser misfire.

The scene calms down for a few moments, but then more officers arrive and the situation turns violent. At least two cops are seen swinging their fists and punching the suspect.

The Tucson Police Department has not issued a comment.
