A Philadelphia man is under arrest on several felony charges after uploading Instagram videos that show him pointing a handgun at multiple victims.
Police say Daron Stinson, 21, and accomplice Courtland Gilliam, 19, drove around filming themselves approaching strangers on the street with a pellet gun. They uploaded the clips to Stinson’s Instagram page, “funniestphilly.”
One video uploaded Feb. 15, shows Stinson pointing a gun at a man salting snow on a sidewalk and demanding the 52-year-old put salt in the car’s trunk. Stinson can be heard screaming at the man while another person laughs.
Other Instagram videos show Stinson pointing a pellet gun at various individuals and, in some instances, firing the pellet gun as victims run away.
Stinson and Gilliam can be heard laughing at the pedestrians.
Philly.com reports Stinson turned himself in Tuesday. He is being held in lieu of $125,000 bail on several charges, including aggravated assault, robbery, making terroristic threats, and reckless endangerment. He was arraigned on Wednesday.
Gilliam was arrested Thursday and is charged with robbery, simple assault and other crimes.
Police have interviewed victims from two of the videos and are asking that other victims come forward.
