Convicted Pit Bull Puppy Rapist Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison

A man who raped and fondled his 8-month-old pit bull puppy has been sentenced to five years in a Florida state prison.

James Guy Bull, 62, pleaded guilty to two counts of felony cruelty to animals, misdemeanor animal cruelty charges, and misdemeanor sexual activities involving animals, reports USA Today.

"The facts of this case are incomprehensible and vile," State Attorney R.J. Larizza said. "The defendant's abuse of the helpless dog shocks the collective conscience of the citizens of the Seventh Circuit and beyond."

Bull was arrested in March 2014 after two neighbors who saw him fondling the dog’s private parts on multiple occasions came forward. The dog, Coco, reportedly cried and yelped when Bull touched him, reports News 10 ABC.

One neighbor said he saw Bull having sex with the dog when he walked passed his apartment, according to prosecutors.

"When (Bull) saw (him), he pulled up his pants and put the dog down," court records show.

When police arrived at Bull’s home, Coco was found to be “clearly emaciated” and chained to a post on the front porch.

"She had about 8 inches of free reign, no water, no shelter and no food for her," read an affidavit. The dog had signs of physical sexual abuse and was "skittish and obviously afraid."

The dog is now in the custody of an animal rescue group and has been re-named Rose.
