Coffee Shop Owner: Hang 'Monkeys' (Video)

Larry Heafner, the co-owner of a soon-to-open coffee shop in Billings, Montana, apologized on Nov. 13 for racist and obscene comments he wrote on Facebook (video below).

The issue started on Nov. 11 when Heafner replied to a video of a white man being assaulted by black people: "These f***ing monkeys would be hanging if I saw this s***!" and, "You don’t see white people doing this s***!" notes KTVQ.

Heafner got into an argument with another Facebook user and wrote: "I wish this little punk motherf***er would come run his mouth to my face! But I’m sure that won’t happen because I would kick his p**** f***** ass!"

The week before the presidential election, Heafner shared a picture of then-Republican nominee Donald Trump inside the White House with this caption: "If Trump wins the election, it’ll be the first time in history that a billionaire moves into public housing vacated by a black family."

Heafner also wrote about former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton: "She needs f***ing with a bat! Right up her liberal f***ing ass!"

Heafner posted this message the day before the election: "The Coffee Tavern will never recognize a murdering whore for president!! Don’t like it, keep the f*** out!! We don’t tolerate scum!!!"

Heafner deleted his Facebook page, but screenshots had already been taken and word spread on Facebook.

Despite his clearly racist comments, Heafner is confounded that people would call him a racist.

"I have a hard time buying that," he told the Billings Gazette.

As a result of his comments, Heafner has been hit with threats of boycotts of his Coffee Tavern, which has had its opening date postponed.

Heafner told KTVQ that his Facebook comments were "the biggest mistake I ever made in my life."

"I completely apologize," Heafner added. "It was the dumbest thing I ever did ... I’m not going to sit and try to excuse my derogatory or negative comments, because it was ridiculous. I do want to say, I’m not racist by no means, and I’m not a woman hater."

Heafner told the news station that his call for scum who support Clinton to "keep the f*** out!" was "my stupidest comment."
