Colorado Man Allegedly Sexually Assaults Teen Daughter Of Friend

A 31-year-old Colorado man has been accused of sexual assault on a minor after allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old in her home, 9 News reports.

According to the arrest documents, Dejuan Johnson, the man charged with assault, knew the victim before the crime. He was a friend of her parents, and was invited by the victim's mother to stay at their house in Denver on the night of Sept. 21. Johnson then “friended” the 14-year-old girl on Facebook that night.

The victim told police the two started chatting on the social network, which eventually led to him coming into her room. The victim said  she felt pressured into having sex with Johnson, according to the arrest affidavit.

Police investigators later looked at the victim's Facebook page, where they said they found a series of messages between the two.

In one exchange, Johnson reportedly wrote "U wont me lay down with you lol." The victim wrote, "I'm cold asf im shikin," Johnson then allegedly replied, "U want me too warm you up lol ... I will beautiful ... I wanna rub on ur body."

Johnson has been charged with luring a child on the Internet as well as sexual assault on a minor, both of which are felonies.

Other cases in 2015 have further highlighted the danger of predators using Facebook and other social media platforms to target young people. In May, a 22-year-old man from Maine was sentenced to 60 years in prison for luring a 15-year-old girl on Facebook to meet him, and then killing her, reports Fox News.

In another case in Bakersfield, California, a 24-year-old man was arrested on two counts of rape in May after deputies found he had used Facebook to lure his alleged victims. According to Kern Gold Empire News, the man communicated with two 14-year-old girls on Facebook, after which he bought them alcohol, consumed it with them, and then sexually assaulted them. The two victims were eventually able to flee and contact law enforcement.
