CIA Director Leon Panetta: Osama Bin Laden Death Photo will be Released

CIA Director Leon Panetta told NBC News that the photograph of a dead Osama Bin Laden will "ultimately" be released.

In an interview with "Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams on Tuesday, Panetta said, "The government obviously has been talking about how best to do this, but I don't think there was any question that ultimately a photograph would be presented to the public."

CBS News reports that White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday that the administration is still trying to decide whether to make the photo public. He said officials are concerned about the "sensitivity" of doing so and that it "could be inflammatory," in part because the photo is "gruesome."

TMZ is reporting that a senior U.S. official told CNN that there are three sets of photographs:

1) Photos of Bin Laden's body taken at a hangar moments after the raid
2) Photos of the burial at sea
3) Photos of the raid itself
