Two New York state boys were seriously injured after they were swept up into the sky in an inflatable bounce house.
The two boys were playing in the bounce house on Monday when the wind blew it with tornado-like force and carried it up into the sky above their apartment building.
Both boys fell out of the bounce house at 15 feet above the ground – one onto a car and the other on the street. A third child managed to jump out just as the bounce house blew away and suffered only minor cuts.
One boy suffered serious head trauma and the other had two broken arms along with facial injuries. Both were hospitalized on Monday afternoon.
“It was like a horror movie,” Taylor Seymour, an apartment resident, said. “It just kept going up and up. It cleared our building and the trees.”
The owner of the bounce house said in the two years she had owned the toy it had never blown away.
