A popular YouTube personality conducted a social experiment in which he staged potential child abductions as a way to teach a valuable lesson to parents (video below).

In the clip, Coby Persin explained that a recent incident involving the abduction and sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl in Queens, New York, prompted him to conduct the experiment.

In one portion, Persin uses Pokemon Go as a way to get a young girl into a car with a stranger -- with the man driving the girl several blocks before stopping. The girl’s father walks over to the car and confronts her, expressing his horror and disappointment with the fact that she got into a car with a stranger.

In the Queens incident that sparked Persin’s experiment, police arrested 28-year-old Shawn Sunder for the abduction and sexual abuse of a 10-year-old victim. The man reportedly drove up to the girl while she was on her way to school and told her that he was a family friend who would be driving her, WABC reported.

The girl got in the car and didn’t show up to class until an hour later. During that time, the girl was molested. Sunder was charged with luring a child and sexual abuse.

In a similar incident, a Glendale, California, woman was arrested after attempting to abduct two young children over the course of a half an hour. The children were reportedly approached by the woman, who said they were “cute.” The woman fled the scene when she was confronted by the children’s mothers.

The first child, WABC reported, was a 14-month-old toddler that the woman tried to snatch from a stroller. The mother fought back and was able to scare the suspect away. The second incident involved a 3-year-old boy, whose 8-year-old brother called police to report the attempted kidnapping.

Both children were unharmed in the terrifying incidents, KTLA reported.
