Two probably former husbands were recently caught cheating when a nearby female passenger on their train snapped an unexpected photo. The men were allegedly openly discussing their cheating habits and were clearly unaware they were soon to be victims of widespread internet exposure.
The woman snapped her shot of one of the gentlemen, then uploaded it to Facebook straight from her seat. The caption read:
If this is your husband, I have endured a two-hour train ride from Philadelphia listening to this loser and his friends brag about their multiple affairs and how their wives are too stupid to catch on. Oh please repost …
Reportedly, within mere minutes of the photo being posted on Facebook, thousands of people had shared it, outing the cheaters nearly immediately. Currently, the post has over 27,000 shares, reported Salon.
The only issue is whether or not the story is actually true. Salonsaid the “husband in question doesn’t appear to have come forward, nor has anyone, at least on the original thread, stepped up to identify him. And the poster hasn’t responded to a request for comment.”
Regardless, people clearly should have a little more tact when discussing personal issues in public, if they do not want to be publicized, that is. This certainly is not the first case of public shaming via the use of social media sites.
Surely, it will not be the last.
